Lynn van Gastel was born in Holland. She studied fashion design at the ArtEZ institute of arts. Part of her curriculum were two work placements, one in Amsterdam, the other one in Brussels, Belgium.

Soon after graduating in 1999, she relocated to Italy to work for a small design studio in Milano. There she gained experience in design and development for different sportswear collections such as Londsdale, Lee and Kookai. The company also owned a high end store in Milano, selling hand made upcycled clothing, under the brand name Tim Camino. Besides her job as designer, she created some clothes for this store.

After 3 years in Milano, Lynn relocated to Montreal, Canada, where she worked as head designer for Groggy Ladies wear. She traveled a lot and got insight in the process of developing clothes in the far east.

Now a mother of two young children in Toronto, Canada, van Gastel combines her passions for design, children and consumer-awareness to create fashion-forward, green clothing for conscientious parents around the world.
